Another week has passed, and it’s been interesting.

Faith

I’ve been reading My Utmost for His Highest, but I did not feel any entries jump out.

This week relationships jumped out more. The idea of those around you praying when you are in need.

This week my family had a health emergency, and it was great to see those around us reach out.

Physical Health

It’s been a rough week with lifestyle changes.

I have reverted in some ways, and stress didn’t help.

I weigh 282 lbs, with a two-pound increase from last week.

Weight loss: 3 pounds

Mental Health

Practicing daily prayer, journaling, and meditation continued, but one day I missed journaling. I could feel the difference.

The week was a bit more challenging, but those practices did help.

Productivity

The Apple Reminders to-do list strategy held well for another week.

Although the list of the critical tasks worked, I missed some tasks on my regular to-do list. I felt this week I didn’t give total effort to the completion of critical tasks. I’m focusing on progress and not perfection.

Reading

I’m still listening to the audiobook from Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss. This audiobook is a beast, but it’s packed with wisdom. I wrote this week about the chapter on questions.

I finished reading Understanding Show, Don’t Tell: And Really Getting It by Janice Hardy.

Focusing my writing on showing at an emotional level is sure to help me connect better with readers.

Quote of the week:

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.

Steve Jobs

I came across an interesting article from Medium, About Me — Tavian Jean-Pierre.

I loved how vulnerable the author was when articulating his story. Similarities in our upbringings resonated with me. It’s a great read!
